Hello and welcome to Fresh Pond Art Glass

The reflective sparkle of colors and the textures of all types of glass have always been amazing and intriguing to me.  I made a promise to myself that the day my youngest child started her first day of college I would take a glass class.   I was able to study, learn and experiment with stained glass construction at first.  The blending of art, color, design and science was so exciting that it led to my passion for glass fusing. 

Fusing is a process whereby multiple layers of glass are heated in a kiln to high temperatures (1500 degrees for a full fuse), annealed for strength ,cooled , and then refired to form a piece of art.  This process may take multiple firings after the piece has been reworked and reshaped.  All of the elements for the designs within the piece that I make are made by me.  Due to the artistry and workmanship that goes into each piece, no two are alike.  Each piece is unique and is a labor of love.
